" Winter, the season of tangerine " is a pharse said by many Korean people. Nowadays tangerine can be found everywhere here since it is winter season, and the price is also low. That is why tangerine is so popular with people including me these days.

In fact, in each season here there is one kind of fruit which respresents those seasons. And those fruits are available everywhere and they are cheap when their season comes.

I missed it !

As I posted in my previous post, there would be snow falling the day after according to the weather forecast. But, there was nothing on that day. The weather was still cold and the sun shined as usual.

Finally, the very first snow for this winter fell about 3 am yesterday. This time there was no any alerts in my weather forecast gadget before it fell. Thus, I missed it. Although there was any alerts, I think I couldn't manage to see it too since it was night time and of course the time I was in deep sleep.

Nowadays it is getting colder and colder and winter is coming soon; the temperature is around 0 degree. It is the first time that I experience such a cold temperature. Right now it is 2 degree; really cold outside.

According to weather forcast, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow there will be snow falling. But, I don't really believe it since it is not yet winter. However, just waiting to see it tomorrow ! ! !

Where are you guys?

Why doesn't everyone update their blog recently? Everyone seems to be busy lately. That's why there have no any new posts updated. I was also busy lately and I have just finished my mid-term exam today. But, it doesn't mean that I will have much free time from now on - only this weekend I can say. Since I started this new term of Korean language, I am so busy with my study because everyday a lot of homework to do and a lot of new words to remember. Really hard ! ! ! There has no any purpose of posting this post besides wanting to know how you guys are.

Football

Football? I think it's my first time that I played football here because in Cambodia I never played at all. Since I came here, I used to play football with my friends several times already and with Korean guys two times including today. For my very first starting playing football, I didn't think I could manage to play with my friends since they are really good at playing this sport and I never played once. But, I tried to play and of course I could and of course not as good as my friends. Kind of interesting and enjoyable, anyway ! Hope to have fun together again !

Today is 09 September 2009 (09 09 09). It's kind of special day, isn't it? Is today anyone's birthday? If so, just want to say Happy Birthday to them. Anyone has any special plans for today? party, making a date, hanging out with friends, marry, blah, blah, blah...

For me, I don't have any plans yet, but right now I am thinking what I am going to do. Anyone has any ideas? give me please...

They Went Back . . .

Finally, they went back to Japan. As I posted in my previous post, I waited for "tonight", the time I had been waiting for long time. That night my friend, Cesar and the the other two friends, Makara and Bora who live in Japan, arrived here, Korea. They just came to visit here for 3 days and they went back this morning. For those three days, we hung out together a lot to many places here. Was really tired but enjoyed so much ! ! ! Why did time fly that fast?

An Unexpectedly Found Letter

While I was opening my CD bag to find Window CD for formatting my disk, I unexpectedly found a decorative letter inside the bag. As soon as I saw , I was really curious about the letter; where was it from? Then, I started to take and see its cover. Actually, it was the letter that one of my friends gave to me when I left Cambodia. Why was I that ignorant? It has been nearly 6 months since I came here but I didn't read that letter yet. After that, I started to open and read that letter. Really long and funny to me of course. Many wishes ! ! ! Thank so much !

This Weekend

Took the bicycle and rode it somewhere around where I live this weekend. Unexpectedly, saw a very cool place. Started thinking of taking photos, but no camera with me. Fortunately, I brought my phone which was good enough to take some below photos.

Lucky or Unlucky ?

I hold my breath when my teacher was about to tell who ranked number 1,2 and 3 for this semester. I didn't dare believe it ! I got number 1 for this summer semester. Really excited and happy anyway. At least I didn't waste my effort for this semester as I did in the previous semester.

A moment later, I was told that eventhough I got number 1 but I couldn't get any gifts even a certificate of appreciation because I already got a scholarship to study in Korea. Thus, this position was given to another student. I suddenly found myself speechless in front of my teacher. What I could say was " It is ok ". I almost couldn't bear the situation.

A day after, we all gathered in the hall for the last day. Also, it was the day that gifts and certificate of appreciation were given to good students. Seeing other students getting presents while I was sitting in on the activity made me a bit upset. But, I tried to pretend there was nothing wrong with me. In fact, really upsetted me so much !

Preparation For My Speaking Test - 2

As I mentioned in my previous post, I prepared a designed poster for my Speaking Test. Moreover, I also had to prepare what I was going to present on that day in advance. For presentation, students were given at least 3mn and at most 5mn to present. It's a bit difficult for me of course since I am still not good at Korean Language yet. Finally, despite difficulty I managed to finish and present it well on that day. Below is my speaking on that day.

There is one teacher who is going to teach dancing. The teacher is Korean and good at dancing of course. Also, she is a very interesting teacher. Thus, it is really interesting, if we can study together. Preparation For My Speaking Test - 1

Hmm, what's a relief ! Today I finished all of my Korean language final exam for this summer course. I am gonna start another new fall course soon. But enjoy my three-week vacation first ! :) I'm thinking of some plans for this vacation. What am I going to DO? ~~~

In my school, it usually takes 2 days to finish an examination. For the first day, there are Grammar Test, Reading Test and Writing Test; for the second day, the last two tests are Listening Test and Speaking Test. Particularly, for Speaking test we were asked to do a presentation this time, which is my very first time to do a presentation in Korean, but we were given the topic in advance so that we could prepare well before doing the presentation.

The given topic for Speaking Test for this final exam was "Making a Club". Students were supposed to make a club they prefered, tell some details and give explanation to listeners about their club in order to attract listeners to join their club. Also, students were required to designed a poster to represent their club. The poster could be made by hand-drawing or computer.

For me, the chosen club is Dancing Club. Why did I come out with the idea of making such a club? Since I am not good at drawing a picture, I decided to make the poster by using computer. Thus, I tried to find out some pictures I could use for my poster. While I was surfing Internet, I unexpectedly found many pictures of dancing people and could think of what I was going to design so I decided to make the dancing club.

슈퍼주니어 VS 소녀시대 - Gee Gee Gee

Nowadays in Korea a group of male singers known as 슈퍼주니어 is very famous while another well-known group of female singers, 소녀시대, also gains much popularity from their audience. Let say I am also one of their fans nowadays. I started to know a 슈퍼주니어 group, which consists of 11 male singers, through one of their famous song, Sorry Sorry. And, they recently released another song, Gee Gee Gee, Which used to be a famous song of 소녀시대, and this song is still famous now . Also, because of this song I started to know a 9-female singer 소녀시대 group. Here are two different videos of Gee Gee Gee. Of course the songs are the same but sung by different groups of singers.

Have You Viewed It Yet?

Sokun Nisa ! You guys actually know this person since she is one of the most famous female singers in Cambodia. By any chance, some of you are also fans of her, aren't you? To me, she is also my favorite singer since she started to sing for Hang Meas Company. Nowadays I still remember one of the most beautiful songs, Het Phal Ke Trov Banchop, sung by her with the other male singer, Sovannareach, who is also my favorite singer. Really cool ! Not only is her voice soft but she is also a very beautiful singer.

Today I accidentally viewed her official website and there is much update on her site. In fact, today was not my first time to view her site because I used to view it many time already since I was in Cambodia, but that time the site was under construction. The site is really fancy and of course there are many photos and some collection of her famous songs in the site.

Last Midnight

You guys may feel strange or unbelievable after hearing about having a midnight picnic. But, last night I did it of course. Last night some of my friends came to our dormitory and one of my friends cooked very delicious Khmer food for us. Really enjoyed eating so much ! After finishing a very quick time of eating, we decided to make a small picnic to a park near the dormitory despite the fact that it was already 12:00 AM. Kind of weird to you, wasn't it? We just brought dessert to eat there. Also, we talked and played with each other so much over there. Really enjoyed the time ! At about 1:00 AM we came back and we still had another plan even though everyone felt really sleepy. The plan was going to sing karaoke. Then, we spent about 1 hour singing in the room. Really Really tired and got sore throat when coming back home. However, enjoyed so much ! :D

Watermelon

If someone asks me about my favourite fruit, one of my answers would be watermelon. Of course I really like watermelon. In Cambodia, I often had it for my lunch and dinner. Even I am here, I still like and eat it so often. Nowadays there are plenty of watermelons sold in the market since it is the summer season. Thus, it's price is also less expensive. However, Compared to those in Cambodia, the watermelon here is still expensive. That's why I can't afford to have it everyday. But, I can buy and enjoy eating it every weekend at least. I can say now watermelon becomes my weekly fruit. Can't wait for this weekend ! :P

Rain Rain Rain ! ! !

Now it is the summer season here so the weather is really hot and of course there is much rain during this season. Recently, the rain has continuously come all day except today. When the rain came, the wind also strongly appeared. So bad !!! I found it so annoying. In those few days, when I went outside, I had to go with an umbrella but still got wet. Also, now I had to buy another umbrella because the previous one was broken by the wind. រញ៉ែរញ៉ៃហើយ អស់លុយទៀត ។ Hope everyday is just like today ! A bit hot but there is no rain.

My Blog's Day !

I still remember the first day that I started to make such a simple blog; it was kind of funny to me since I found nothing to post at that time but a short piece of writing about my purpose of creating the blog. I never tend to forget it because it was the very first post, which pushed me to continue working on my blog so far.

Moreover, I am really satisfied with what I have done so far since it gives me not only fun but some knowledge about working on the blog. You know, I sometimes really like viewing my old posts. To me, it is kinda enjoyable ! Working on the blog is so big a stuff to me. why? U know, sometimes I don't know what I should post or sometimes I don't have enough time to post or sometimes I am lazy enough not to update the blog. Such a bad blog owner ! However, I just can't believe myself too that I could manage to do it so far. I really appreciate my efforts. But, Compared to my friends' achievements, my work on the blog is still not good enough since I haven't posted as much as my friends do. Really appreciate them ! I am trying my best to continue my work, anyway. Dy, fighting ! fighting !

Athletic Meeting

Phew ! Let me take a few second to hold my breath first !

I have just come from my university. I'm so tired now ! Wanna sleep now but I have to finish this post first.

Today my university prepared an athletic meeting for international students who are currently studying Korean language. Of course there were many games today for us to compete one another. They are . . . hmm . . . ha, don't know what words should be used in English. Thus, let me write in Khmer ! មាន ទាញព្រ័ត ទាត់សី រត់ប្រណាំង លោតអន្ទាក់ គ្រវែងស្បែកជើង ចងជើងដើរនិង លោតកន្លងគ្នា។ I played ទាញព្រ័ត ទាត់សីនិង រត់ប្រណាំង. To me , really interesting ! But so so tired of course ! ! ! You know, not only me but all my classmates didn't win any games for this meeting because the other classes really did well. :(

However, you guys know, despite the fact that we lost all games, our class finally still got a present too. you know for what? It was really amazing and funny to me ! Before we started our competition, each class had to dance or show something; my class really danced well, interestingly and of course crazily. That's why my class ranked 1st in dancing and was selected to be given a present. :)
