The 16th Busan Sea Festival, a combination of multiple festivals, is set to take place from August 1st to 9th at six different beaches, including top Korean summer vacation spot Haeundae Beach, and Busan Yachting Center. Held under the theme of ‘Into the Sea of Festivities,’ this year’s festival will be hosting Busan International Rock Festival featuring 26 rock bands including Heaven Shall Burn, Mongol 800, YB and Boohwal, Busan International Hip Hop Festival featuring 16 hip-hop groups, and Busan International Magic Festival featuring famous magicians from home and abroad. In addition, a youth band competition and a super model pageant will also be held during the festival. Moreover, tournaments of a wide variety of beach sports including rowing, canoe rafting, yachting, wind surfing and beach volleyball will take place at such major tourist attractions as Gwangalli Beach, Songjeong Beach and Dadaepo Beach.
