S.Korea to build 16 trauma Centers by 2016

South Korea plans to spend 200 billion won (US$169.6 million) by 2016 to build 16 modern shock trauma centers that can treat patients with serious injuries, the government said Monday.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare said it will allocate 40 billion won in its budget for next year for the project. The centers will each have about 40-50 beds, it said.
